Gladys Baya created this community in 2006 after the end of the EVOnline sessions left many participants with a desire to continue learning about educational technology all year round.  It quickly attracted members from all over the world, and 2 1/2 years later there have been 5,000 messages posted to the LwC Yahoo Group.

Learning with Computers takes a more structured approach than Webheads in Action, assigning areas of inquiry (e.g., listening or grammar) throughout the year and setting weekly tasks.  The current focus is the creation of online exercises using various web tools.  Tutors provide support to new members as needed.
